I am a 38 year old married father of three, who has spent a large portion of his life playing multiple sports including football, cricket, rugby league, swimming and golf.
My sporting endeavours have trailed off as the family has grown and my working career became the priority.
With those priorities becomes a need to be able to juggle working life and a young family, which requires agility and being able to run around with the kids, which has led me to this discussion about hip flexors and their importance.
Personally, I have felt pressure around the hip flexor region in my thirties in particular, which is definitely a byproduct of having significantly reduced my physical activity but could also have been attributed to .
In recent months I have also had considerable back-pain, which came about in a weird situation, where I was simple bending over to dry myself after having a shower, and only half leaning over.
A sharp and serious pain shot through my lower back, and I started to get cold sweats and felt extremely uncomfortable.
It really scared me at the time, and with a young family to consider, I went into the mode of needing to get on top of it, but also looking at both methods to help myself, but also reading and learning about the impact of posture and back injuries on people in general.
Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about me, and I hope that my following discussion points provide you with some great insight into the importance of unlocking hip flexors, and the ways in which this can be done to set you on a path to better health.
